According to 92 News and Dunya News, Waqar Zaka was badly tortured near the Shrine of Abdullah Shah Ghazi. Along with drunken man, the security guard also thrashed the anchor Waqar Zaka. It can be seen in the video that the faces of persons are not clear except Waqar Zaka. Moreover, two people have beaten the Waqar Zaka. Waqar Zaka is asking for mercy why they are beating him and what he did with them. The other standing nearby did nothing to save him.
Waqar Zaka host reality TV shows over Pakistani news channels. In the first week of January 2017, he was in Aleppo for the coverage of a victim of Syrian Civil War.
