Xiaomi has finally got NOC from Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to be launched in Pakistan. Smart Link Technologies will be the official and authorized partner of Xiaomi in Pakistan. In an advertisement, appeared in daily newspapers in Pakistan, Smart Link Technologies said that it is going to launch the smartphone of Xiaomi in Pakistan.
Two times Xiaomi was launched in Pakistan at the start of the year 2016. First Mi Pakistan, an unofficial retailer in Pakistan, launched the few products of Xiaomi. Later on, Cheez Mall officially launched the smartphones and some accessories of Xiaomi. However, later on, PTA totally banned the smartphones of Xiaomi. Then it was banned because PTA claimed that Xiaomi was allegedly stealing user’s data and sharing it to servers located in China. PTA then ordered the Pakistan-based dealer of Xiaomi not to sell Xiaomi smartphones in the country.
Now after getting the approval from PTA, Xiaomi products will be launched by Smart Link Technologies. In addition to smartphones, other eco-friendly products will also be launched such as Car Charger, Mi Band 2, Mi VR and Power Banks. According to officials of Smart Link Technologies, all these products will be available at competitive along with the official warranty.
The products were expected to launch at the start of January 2017. But due to some issues, it will be launched in February 2017.
