The science of today is the technology of tomorrow, who thought that it would be so easy for us to get such high-speed internet when we used to have a dial-up connection. Pakistan is going to introduce 5G internet service very soon and by this Pakistan will become the first country of South Asia to use this technology. Well, the world has moved from dial-up to new horizons of fast internet. The world is at your palm, and anything can be accessed from the small electronic device in your hand that we call the cell phone.
To make you realise that how much faster 5G will be in comparison to 4G, the peak data rate or speed provided by 4G service was 1GB/sec, however, peak data rate of 5G will be 20 GB/second.
Ministry of information technology and telecom has announced that 5G services will soon be launched. It’s worth mentioning here that Pakistan has won the international award for mobile services as it stood third in the competition.
The access to broadband in Pakistan has increased from 3 per cent to 27 per cent and such an increase has motivated the government to do more in this regard. Introducing 5G will encourage the users to do online businesses and this, in turn, will make the economy of Pakistan stronger. Pakistan is also looking to install one mobile tower for every 100 users in each village of Pakistan by the year 2030.
All the necessary configurations and equipment related to 5G technology are being installed so that the service is introduced as soon as possible.
