Russian Space Chief has announced that they are going to send their team to the moon on a mission to verify that the moon landings by America in 1969 were real or fake.
Back in the 1960s and 1970s, there was the race of technology between two superpowers, Yes you got it right between Russia and United States of America. Both the countries were trying to get the edge over each other in every field but especially in technology and if we come specifically to technology it was space technology.
Both the countries were trying their level best to explore space outside earth and the ultimate target to reach the moon. Both the countries were trying their level best to reach the moon before the each other. Russia sent 4 space rockets towards moon but all of them blasted on its way, and Russia had to shut down its mission, but it’s worth mentioning here that the first robotic arrival on the moon was from Russia on 13th September 1959 Luna Mission 2. On the other hand, USA kept on trying, and finally, on 20 July 1969 America claimed that their Apollo 11 had reached the moon and Neil Armstrong became the first man to land on the moon. There were six landings on the moon from 1969 to 1972 both manned and unmanned.
There are also rumours that these landings were not real and the USA made it up, and accusers have their justifications as well. Recently Russia claimed that they are going to send space rocket to the moon and the primary mission will be to verify that American claims of landing on the moon are real or fake. The Russian space chief was smiling and giving gestures during the interview which made people feel that he also doubts the American claims of the moon landing.
