The University of Peshawar is located in the city of Pukhtoons Peshawar. It is established in 1950 after the independence and it is the third oldest university in Pakistan after Punjab and Jamshoro. The university offers a great mix of basic and applied sciences, social sciences and professional disciplines such as medicine, engineering, agriculture, commerce, forest, and law.

Khyber Medical College
Khyber Medical College is located in Peshawar and it is established in 2007. There are 6220 students in which 4000 undergraduates and 220 postgraduates are enrolled in different programs. The university is affiliated with PMDC, PMRC, CPSP, PNC, and HEC.

Qurtuba University of Science & Information Technology
The Qurtuba University of Science & Information Technology is located in Peshawar and it is established in 2001. It has two campuses, one in Peshawar and another one is in Dera Ismail Khan. It is affiliated with HEC and Pec and the university is placed in highest W3 Category by the HEC.
