Chairman Board of Investment and Minister of State, Haroon Sharif, addressed that the government has planned to provide with the e-VISA facility for some countries in the next months for promoting business and its investment in the country.
The addressed by Sharif “Doing Business in Pakistan” occasion managed by German Emirati Joint Council. The 35 major German companies attended the event which was based in United Arab Emirates which include Audi, BMW Group Volkswagen, Hugo Boss, Halfen, Lufthansa, Rohde & Schwarz, PUMA, Deutsche Bank as well as Siemens and many more.
Not only Chairman BOI was there, but also Pakistan’s Ambassador to UAE Moazzam Ahmed Khan and German Ambassador to Pakistan, Martin Kobler also attended the event.
CEO of AHK, Felix Neugart, provided with a brief insight into the current developments in Pakistan, particularly with reference to business and investment opportunities in Pakistan as being the 6th largest country of the world, which have over 50% youth bulge, sound manufacturing base, blessed natural resources, and also well-developed services and agricultural sector.
Ambassador Kobler pointed out that Germany is working hard as Pakistan’s biggest trading partner in EU along with trade balance in favor of Pakistan. He further admired the steps taken by the new Government authority for regaining confidence in Pakistan and the advanced law and order situation in the country.
He recommended the creation of Pak-German Joint Chamber of Commerce & Investment to promote trade and investment.
He appreciated German companies who invest in Pakistan particularly in Alternate Energy; Hospitality & Tourism, Agro-based Food Processing, and Emerging Technologies as well.
