Eid is just around the corner and like every year thousands of people will be going to their hometown in order to celebrate Eid with their loved ones. In order to facilitate these people, the Pakistan Railways has decided to run special Eid trains apart from the regular schedule of trains. Minister of Railways Shaikh Rasheed announced that the government will be running three special Eid Trains from June 2 in order to facilitate the people who will be traveling back home. He said that the government will be taking every measure in order to ensure that every person gets to travel back home to their family.
Shaikh Rasheed said that if there are they are also working to arrange an additional five trains for Eid in order to accommodate everyone. The minister also had good news for the people who will be traveling on the first day of Eid as these people will have to pay half the fare only due to Eid. While talking to the journalists, Shaikh Rasheed also gave updates regarding other Railways project in which he said that the government has already awarded the tender of maintenance of Tando Adam to Khanpur track to Railways Constructions Pakistan Limited.
Shaikh Rasheed also gave an update regarding the much talked about Karachi Circular Railway in which he said that the 34 KM track has already been cleared while the remaining 10 KM will be cleared in the next 15 days. Shaikh Rasheed said that there are different private companies that want to invest in the railway lines of Pakistan and the government is in talks with them. The minister said that they will be adding the Sir Syed Ahmad Express train soon and Prime Minister Imran Khan will be the one who will inaugurate that train.
