Finally, good news for the people of Punjab, as the government of Punjab has launched the Application named as ‘Qeemat App”. This application will notify the people about the prices of fruits, vegetables and other households’ items that has set by the government of Punjab. The app is currently functional in Sialkot only and it will expand to other cities in a few months. The government has developed this application to stop profiteering by the shopkeepers. The app allows people to check the prices of food items that have set by the government. Brilliant way to identify the shopkeepers who are selling the things overpriced.

Usually, shopkeepers provided a rate list by the government and many shopkeepers did not follow it and charged much more than the price set by the government. Sometimes the shopkeepers do not provide the list to customers which makes it inconvenient for the customers. Now after the launch of Qeemat App, this will solve all the problems as it will keep you updated by uploading the updated rate list on the application on a daily basis.

The government has provided a free service where they can notify people about prices. If any shopkeeper is found overcharging, then any of you can report the issue via the complaint portal on the Qeemat Application. A Special monitoring team also deployed under the deputy commissioner who will take strict actions on the complaint registered on complaint portal.
