It is that time of the year where the students are anxiously waiting for the start of the summer holidays. The two-month long holidays are the most awaited ones for the students especially when the festival of Eid is also coming in these holidays as well. Just like every year, this year as well, there are different dates that have been announced by the different provincial governments. Previously all schools and colleges would usually close on the first day of June and will open on the first day of August with some schools and colleges often ending up opening after celebrating the Independence Day.
This time around it has been a little different in all the provinces. The Punjab government has announced that summer holidays in the province will start from the first day of June and will continue till the 14th day of August. The schools and colleges in the province will reopen after the celebration of Independence Day. The students have been given a long break of about two-and-half months to enjoy the summer holidays and Eid-ul-Fitr. Once the schools reopen in August, there will also be holidays coming up for Eid-ul-Azha as well, hence the students are in for a long treat of holidays.
The KPK government has announced a similar holiday structure like the Punjab government with schools and colleges observing summer holidays from June to August. However, the Sindh government has announced a totally different summer vacation structure this time around. The government has announced that the summer vacation will start from the first day of May and will continue till the last day of June. All the schools and colleges will then reopen on the first day of July, which is way before the usually announced holidays in the country.
