A painful truth regarding a loved one is always heart rending. A person who gave maximum smiles ,laughter, entertainment by his acting, singing and live performances, has left forever today. Sikandar Sanam, a comedian, a theater artist and a singer earned international fame in the art of mimicry. He was born in Karachi and his real name was Mujammad Sikandar. He was a son of famous poet of Indo-Pak Asia Syed Abdul Sattar Shoqeen Jetpuri (late) like father like son.
Having looked into Sikandar’s career history, the fact will reveal that singing and acting were the essential parts of his life. He was basically a singer and he used to play roles in stage drama with friends in his childhood. His natural talent made him decides to join showbiz. His only academy was the stage where he mastered the art of parody. He became one of the most prominent comedians of stage soon. He enjoyed high esteem in his field when he did parody movie by his hilarious remaking of Indian movie “Tere Naam”.After wards, he won the title of Comedy King in the Indian reality show “Laughter Challenge”. He has worked in numerous stage shows, Pakistani tele films (parody movies), Pakistani and Indian TV shows, comedy serials and poplar parody songs and qawali.
In September 2012, Skiandar was diagnosed with liver cancer.He was admitted in Agha Khan University Hospital for the sake of treatment but his health didn’t gain momentum and after few days of discharging from the hospital,his soul met the last destiny.He died today evening and he left four sons, two daughters and a wife in survivals.
