Amir Iqbal Khan a Pakistani British boxer and a very famous public figure due to his long list of achievements in boxing has shown the intent to build boxing academy in Pakistan. He was present at Lahore at LUMS (Lahore University of Management Sciences) and was talking to students during interactive session that was held by LUMS University.
Amir Khan was accompanied by his wife, brother and his mother and he said that he wants to do something useful for the welfare of the people of Pakistan.
Amir Khan’s mother while answering to questions of the students said that she has encouraged Amir Khan to choose his career and she is feeling proud of her son as he is progressing in his career.
Amir Khan and his brother Haroon Khan did some shadow boxing on the stage in front of the students. After that Ali Shehper who is an undergraduate student at LUMS and an aspiring future boxer was invited by Amir Khan for an exhibition match.
Amir Khan after the end of the session thanked the staff and students for their support and told them that he spent an amazing day at LUMS.
Amir Khan is a former two time world champion as he won WBA, WBA (Super) and IBF Light Welterweight titles few years back. Not only is this but he also the youngest ever British Olympic boxer to have won the medal. He won Olympic Silver Medal at Athens Olympics in 2004 at the young age of 17. At the age of 22 he became the youngest British world champion when he won WBA Light Welterweight title.
