After mobile companies were introduced PTCL or land line use had almost come to an end and it seemed that PTCL might not recover as the market was taken over by mobile companies but it did come back and by providing other services like internet. PTCL now might be looking to get a share in cellular services as well and for that Warid seems an optimum choice because its not highly popular in Pakistan but it has great setup. President of PTCL have been interested in buying out Warid since 2009. Its been said that meetings are being carried out in Dubai regarding the final decision of the project.

So far noconfirm date could be announced regarding the final decision of it buy out, but its been said that in a month or 45 days final decision will be made. Its worth mentioning here that in 2011 after several talks and meetings Warid decided against the interest of PTCL. If the Warid sells out to Etisalat its logo will be changed from “We Care” to “Hello to the future”. Well time will tell either the logo of Warid will be changed or Warid will remain to take care of people.
