YouGov is a UK based organisation that researches the public opinions along with consumer behaviour and recently they have released an infographic for a survey. This survey was conducted globally and14,000 people from 13 countries participated in the survey.
The infographic shows results country-wise and then collectively from all these countries. Amazing thing for Pakistanis to celebrate is that there indeed is one Pakistani in the list who is most popular in his own country and ranks at number12th position globally.
This man is none other than the only ODI world cup winning captain for Pakistan. Yes you guessed it right, it indeed is Imran Khan.
According to the survey Imran Khan got 21.58% votes in his own country while Bill Gates was a very far runner up to him with 10.09% voted for him. This shows that he is popular by a huge margin in general public.
One of the very amusing things to notice here is that people in Pakistan did not forget to vote for our beloved Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) as he ranked at 7th in Pakistan. In such desperate times when we are away from religion, it is great to see people still remember the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Malala Yousafzai and Nawaz Sharif were also in the top 10 list of Pakistan but very marginally as compared to Imran Khan. Dr. Zakir Nayak also made to the list just above Nawaz Sharif and Malala Yousafzai.
Global list was easily topped by Bill Gates while in that global list Imran Khan resided at 12th position. In global list, Nawaz Sharif and Malala Yousafzai are not even in top 30 positions while Abdul Sattar Edhi is present at 29th position in the global list.
Infographic is shared below in both country-wise and with global results.
