Good news for PTCL 1 MB Economy package users. Their packages are now upgraded to 2 MB Economy Package automatically and the best part is that they will pay the same amount as they are paying right now till 30th of April 2014.
It has been updated on PTCL website that 2 MB Economy Package will allow existing 1 MB Economy Package users to use double data speeds at the same cost till 30th of April 2014.
After that, i.e. 1st May 2014, these users will be charged Rs. 750 per month and the data limit will be 10 GB per month.
There is an option to opt out by calling 1236 if a customer doesn’t want to continue with this 2 MB Economy Package. They will be reverted back to 1 MB Economy or they will be shifted to 2 MB Economy Package for a life time.
It would have been a very good strategy if PTCL would have offered users to upgrade if they wished and not forcefully implemented the package.
