Famous Bollywood actress Sunny Leone’s upcoming movie has already stirred controversy in India. The main reason for this controversy is the content of the movie. Latest news is that ‘Ragini MMS 2’ has been banned in some parts of Pakistan as well.
Punjab censor board put it simply this way that this movie is not appropriate for audience in Pakistan and thus its launch in Pakistani cinema houses is disapproved.
Usman Peerzada who is the deputy chairman of Punjab Censor Board said that
This is the first film that I have had to out rightly ban because it was essentially pornography. It has profanity. There was no space for cutting. It was not worthy of screening altogether.
This ban is implemented in cinemas throughout Punjab but Sindh Board of Film Censors (SBFC) and Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) have already approved this movie and ‘Ragini MMS 2’ is running successfully in cinemas in these areas.
Some major cinemas of Pakistan are not running this movie although it has been approved by their respective censor boards like Atrium Karachi and Centaurus Cineplex Islamabad. The reasons are not disclosed but the fact is that the movie is not widely screened throughout Pakistan.
Some extremist organizations in India are demanding that the movie should be banned in India and Sunny Leone should be deported from India. The reason for this outrage in Indian extremists has been put into words as
