Atif Aslam is a prominent singer from Pakistan, who has worked in numerous projects of Bollywood and even has made his way to Hollywood. Along with it he has also starred in a fim ‘Bol’ which is most notable film for revival of Pakistan film industry. Atif is one of the most popular singer of South Asia, entertaining the music lovers from around 12 years.
Early life: Atif was born in Wazirabad, started his early education at Kimberly Hall School, Lahore. Later on he moved to Rawalpindi, continuing his studies in St. Paul’s Cambridge School. He came back to Lahore in 1995 and studied in Divisional Public School and further he did his Fsc from PAF College, Lahore. At his stay at PAF college he got involved in music and it carried on. Not to forget, Atif’s first priority was to be a cricketer, he also participated at School and college level as a fast bowler for the side. It is also said that, Atif was selected for the U-19 cricket team trials and even aimed to be part of the U-19 side. Till now Atif never misses any chance to play cricket, he’s often seen playing cricket at different charity events.
Musical Career: During College days Atif met Gohar Mumtaz- a guitarist and this meeting later turned them into band-partners, forming ‘Jal’. The duo use to sing at different events at restaurants and college functions. According to onlookers, Atif also used to sing at college canteen while entertaining his friends during free time. Atif and Gohar under platform of ‘Jal’ started doing mini-concerts (first voluntarily than commercially). The band recorded their first song ‘Aadat’ at Mekal Hasan’s studio, directed by Umer Anwar. The song received huge appreciation and took the internet by storm. The song was also on-aired on Radio channels. Soon after this Atif leaved the band due to leading differences with Goher Mumtaz.
Atif started his solo career in July 2004 with album (‘Jal Pari) , which was declared as best selling album of the year within just 5 months of release. Atif later climbed upto Bollywod and sang ‘Woh Lamhe Woh Baatein’ in the movie ‘Zehar’ and months later his song ‘Aadat’ was part of ‘Kalyung’. Both the movies were from Bhatt camp, God-father of newbie’s Mahesh Bhatt provided chance to young Atif and he completely used it. After this he sang for many of the Bollywood movies and also came up with two albums (Doorie and Meri Kahani).
Atif Aslam lent his voice for these Bollywood movies: Zeher, Kalyug, Bas Ek Pal, Race, Kismat Konnection, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani, Prince, Spanish Beauty, F.A.L.T.U, Tere Naal Love Hogya, Jayanta Bhai ke Love Story Race 2, Badlapur and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
Major Awards and Acheivements: In 2008 Atif was awarded Tamgha-e-Imtiaz by Government of Pakistan following his musical achievements. Atif became the youngest recipient of one of the prestigious Pakistani award. He also became the youngest Pakistani out of two others, to perfrom in the prestigious (Royal Albert Hall), UK. In 2012 Atif was named among top performers of Dubai for 2012 along with Enrique Iglesias and others. Atif have also bagged several music awards out of it the most important are: Sahara Sangeet Award 2005 of ‘Best Playback Singer’ and ‘Best Debut Singer’ and Lux style Awards 2006 for ‘Best Album’- Doorie.
Acting Career: In 2011, Atif made his acting debut by starring in the Pakistani movie ‘Bol’. The film was received warmly by the Pakistani audience and also by the Indian audience.
Marriage: After making a long stir in Pakistan media, Atif decided to marry her long-time girlfriend and fiance Sara Bharwana. On March 28, 2013 these two were tied into a knot. The couple was blessed with a baby boy in March 2014.

Sara Bharwana: After her marriage with Atif, ‘Sara Bharwana’ was a famous search on web as Atif’s female fans checking the one who broke their dreams. Many girls were Jealous of Sara and even raised pages ‘Hate Sara Bharwana’ on social sites. But that wasn’t of any worth, as the proverb says it is useless to cry over split milk. Sara Bharwana, born on 7th July, 1984 is daughter of an ex-policeman Punjab. According to some sources, she was student of the Kinnaird College, Lahore and Atif was studying at Government University, Lahore at that time. Both of them were indulged in a relationship, which further succeed towards their arrangement. Sara Bharwana has also worked as teacher in a school, after getting graduate from Kinnaird College.
