Fizza Shabbir started her journey from making sculptures on small scale and she did hard work with dedication and passion. From childhood she was very fond of making use of useless daily items to convert them into something useful.
According to her, she was not interested in going to school and read books. She was impressed from her elder sister who was doing Master in Graphics Designing and she made use of different kinds of colors and fancy samples.
She told that she still remembers that once she started to work like common laborers on making bricks made of plaster without having any technical expertise or estimate of expense on molding.
She did Master in Fine Arts from Anjuman Himayat e Islam College and started teaching. In the beginning it was an interesting job but gradually she felt that life became boring and her creative abilities are dying. She left teaching and started practicing at home. She made use of different metals, useless clothing to make handbags, Aluminum cans to make jewelry and mud to make sculptures.
She is very passionate and dedicated to her work therefore her social relationships are very few. This basically is the reason; she cannot sell her creative items into market for good price. She told that she is quite unorganized and she doesn’t know marketing and her creativity most of the times serves no purpose and she sells her creative items for any price in the market.
After four years of hard work, using Vespa scooter engine, she made a car and wrote all its details and methods used into a file. She was given an award for her work by PakWheels in 2015 Motor Show.
Currently she is working as a manager in a gallery to collect money for her upcoming projects. She has plans of using a motorcycle engine to make a car and convert an ordinary motorcycle to a sports bike.
Due to her experience and expertise in using metal, Fiza has the ability to rise above the horizon and get a prominent position in Arts and Science arena of Pakistan.
