The younger daughter of Maryam Nawaz and granddaughter of the current Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif, Mehr-un-Nisa wedded to a Lahore-based businessman’s son Raheel Munir on Saturday. The wedding ceremony was held at the Prime Minister House Raiwind Lahore. The Walima ceremony also held in Lahore today. According to sources, in addition to today Walima ceremony, two other Walima ceremonies will be organized in UK and UAE in next month.
The wedding ceremony of the Maryam Nawaz and Captain (r) Safdar daughter Mehr-un-Nisa was attended by several national and international celebrities. Almost 1500 people attended the prestigious ceremony of the granddaughter of the Nawaz Sharif. Several showbiz celebrities and the close business friends of the Nawaz Sharif were also present at the ceremony as a guest.
All ceremonies of wedding took place at Jati Umra, Raiwind. Mehr-un-Nisa’s husband Raheel Munir is the son of Lahore-based industrialist Chaudhry Munir. Nikah of the couple was already held in Madina, Saudi Arabia, in July.
The dish menu was kept simple. As per the instructions of the government, there was also a one dish menu system at the wedding of the Maryam Nawaz’s daughter. The Barat ceremony was also ended by 10 PM. Pure Pakistani-based foods were presented to the guests. Almost 1500 policemen and rangers were deployed for the security of the area. Approximately 250 traffic wardens were deployed to control the traffic matters.
Just two day before, Indian Premier made a surprise visit of Lahore. He visited the PM Nawaz’s house in Raiwand where he presented the Indian Sahris as a wedding gift to the granddaughter of the Nawaz Sharif. He expressed his good wishes for a happy life to the couple.
