National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) working under Ministry of Interior, around a month back, comes up with providing online facilities; as issuance and renewal of CNIC’s in Pakistan and abroad.
This step was highly obliged all across the country as decades back it was quiet difficult to get your CNIC and renewal was even the most difficult task. As people have to wait in the long rows, waiting for their turn and if in-between there comes the lunch time of the officers then your wait goes on.
NADRA knowing the disturbances of the people, designed maximum branches, staff, to give the best services and even goes on working 7-days a week to make it more convenient.
The recent announcement of giving online services was regarded as the best step till now and in order to make it more accurate and flawless, has joined hands with InfoTech, which is one of the fastest growing information technology groups in the world and is working successfully worldwide with having offices across the globe.
InfoTech with aim ‘Brilliantly Built’ also provides the technology solutions and have worked for many of the leading companies and organizations in Pakistan, such like: Punjab Information Technology Board (PTIB), Pakistan International Airways (PIA), Higher Education Commission (HEC) and many others.
InfoTech will be backing Nadra’s CNIC online service plan; providing an IBM Websphere software on an IBM P8 to NADRA.
NADRA selected InfoTech via an open and competitive process, as it’s also a business partner with IBM. NADRA successfully processed its online application in-house and now will be provided back-end hosting support by InfoTech.
