At the seminars forum for China- Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) held in Karamay-Xinjiang a week ago, Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal suggested a space technology collaboration between China and Pakistan. His offer was accepted and made a part of the Karamay-Xinjiang Declaration. The declaration was later accepted unanimously after the two-day meeting finished.
At the concluding session, Ahsan Iqbal stated that bilateral collaboration on space technology will take Pakistan-China relationships to new heights. He emphasized a joint launch of space missions which include astronauts from both nations.
He explained: This is the strength of the CPEC to boost more connection between the two friendly countries. It’ll shape up the long term destiny of both the countries through communication linkages.
Chinese Ambassador in Pakistan, Sun Weidong, was a part of the CPEC forum. He labelled the seminars as effective in raising understanding among the connected stakeholders for applying the CPEC. He mentioned the field of energy and communication as a main part of the CPEC.
Over 3 hundred officials, businesspersons and also public figures were a part of the 2 day forum.
One more decision made at the forum was to make these types of seminars a permanent platform that will interact with every year to check the project and present collaboration on broader elements. The forum will be used to make sure the project’s correct objective of promoting Pakistan-China relations.
Senator Mushahid Hussain and also China’s NPC Committee Vice Chairperson Madam Baige Zaho offered a detailed joint presentation on the approvals and also successes of the CPEC forum. They appreciated the shared cultural heritage of Silk Road and how it has historically brought wealth to countries along the road and also symbolized peace, alliance and contributed advantages.
