Finally the Federal Budget 2015-16 has been passed out. As usual it is facing the mix comments from the politicians, public and other stakeholders. Most of the share has been allocated for development projects but at the same time subsidies and grants on various sectors has been withdrawn as well.
This time Nawaz’s government has allocate Rs 12 billion to boost the eSector of the country including e-learning, e-agriculture, etc. In Rs 12 billion, Rs. 2.8bn are to link the provinces of the country with fiber optic cable, Rs 3.6bn are for improving communication network in remote areas. Moreover, the scholarships under Information and Communication Technology sector will remain applicable in the fiscal year 2015-16 as well. Rs. 20bn have been allocated to the special schemes launched by the PM Nawaz Sharif that includes laptops, business and interest-free loans, etc.
In fiscal year 2014-15, Haier laptops were distributed among government universities students under Prime Minister Laptop Schemes. Moreover, the interest on business loans for youth has been deceased form 8% to 6%. Let see, too much extent government will succeed in fulfilling its targets. As two day before, Finance Minister has admitted that we were failed in achieving the target of fiscal year 2014-15.
