The courageous lady Sana Bucha is talk of the town since her resignation from Dunya News in 2013. Her lead role along with Shan Shahid in the mega-budget film Yalghaar was enough to agitate the people who are envious of her extraordinary capabilities. But here is something that would surely be vexing her haters more, she’s not just going to mark her debut, she has much more in her pocket.
Television-anchor-turn-actress has also stepped in the production field, is nowadays producing documentaries for several channels and commercials, this is not all, the film Quetta, which unveils the tragedy and suffering of life in Balochistan will also be produced under Sana’s production house. This art film has also got firm support of the notables and it seems film will be getting good response and her debut as film-producer will be unearthing much more to the Pakistani cinema.
Sana Bucha started her career with Geo News and acclaimed positive response from viewers over her programs ‘Laikin’ and ‘Crisis Cell’. She’s quite bold in upholding her views and covering topics such as Pakistani politics and foreign relations. In 2012, she resigned Geo after having differences with the channel over Dr Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s appointment.
Later, she joined Dunya News but resigned after short while saying that “I refuse to put a price tag on myself.”
Her debut movie as actress Yalghaar is believed to be a big success on box office. This film includes ‘Big-guns’ of Lollywood , Shaan Shahid, Humayun Saeed, Adnan Siddiqui, Ayesha Omer in the lead cast along with debutante Sana.
Yalghaar is the Pakistani war epic film, based on the true story of Pakistan Army’s Swat Operation, Sana Bucha in the film portrays a reporter and sources also tells that she’s also the co-producer of the film.
After both the projects, Quetta and Yalghaar, Sana doesn’t even have time to celebrate as she’s committed with her further projects. One of which will be spy thriller genre and is pronounced as ‘never seen before’ in Pakistani cinema. Her next project will be the film, story of which is written by ‘our-very-own’ model and actress Iman Ali and will Starr Bilal Ashraf in the lead role.
