Pakistani model, and actress Urwa Hocane has refused the offer of performing leading role in the Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming movie Azhar, which is based on the life of Indian former cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. Urwa said, “she would love to do meaty characters in Bollywood, otherwise she is happy here in Pakistan.” Commenting on opportunities being offered by Bollywood she said, “I’m getting a couple of offers from Bollywood but I just don’t want to cross the border for the sake of it.”

According to Urwa Hocane, she refused to act on the lead role in Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming movie Azhar based due to bold scenes in the movie with Emran Hashmi. “I don’t want to do bold scenes, but that was not the only reason, I was also busy working on a local production Jhol, ” said Urwa.
Azhar is an upcoming Indian movie set to be released on May 13, 2016. The film is about the life of the former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin and is produced by Ekta Kapoor. The leading role is being performed by Emran Hashmi, Prachi Desai, and Nimrat Kaur.

Urwa Hocane is best known for her role in serials Meri Ladi, Kahi Un Kahi, Tum Mere Hi Rehna, Marasim, amd Madiha Maliha. Na Maloom Afraad was the first movie of her acting career.
In a question towards acting in Bollywood, she replied, “Yes, there are. But for now things are under wraps, I can’t disclose it, for it is in the initial stages.”
