The 9th match of PSL was held between Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars at Sharjah Cricket Association Stadium, Sharjah.

Lahore Qalandars after leaving a positive impact on PSL viewers in last game also set a handsome total in this match as they were asked to bat first after Islamabad United won the toss.
The young rising star Mohammad Rizwan of Lahore Qalandars produced some magnificent stuff as he scored notout 50 of just 27 balls. After completion of 20 overs, Qalandars were able to set a total of 166 with loss of 6 wickets.
But this all fainted in front of what Islamabad United openers did. Shane Watson and Sharjeel Khan set the highest opening partnership in PSL so far, both the batsman scored 79, 79* respectively.
United, who were being led by the Aussie star due to absence of their captain Misbah-ul-Haq made it look as easy as pie. With the scintillating batting of both the openers United’s were able to win comprehensively by 8 wickets while 25 balls still remaining on the board.
After this match, United’s have got third place on the points table amid total of five teams, whereas Qalanadrs who astounded the viewers with some power hitting are lagging behind on fifth spot.
