Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has approved the new 2,655 posts for Punjab Institute of Neurosciences and Lahore General Hospital. To make the process effective and to complete in time, funds have been also approved by the CM Punjab.
According to Principle Postgraduate Medical Institute & Ameer-ud-Din Medical College, Professor Khalid Mahmood in a meeting has said 847 new posts has been specified for the various categories of Punjab Institute of Neurosciences. In addition to these posts, the other 199 and 236 new employees will be recruited for the Phase-II and Phase-III of the mega development plan of the Institute.
In addition to above positions, 1373 are for nurses and the recruitment against these posts will commence in the next financial year. The nurses appointed at Grade 16 by the Punjab Health Department will be promoted to Grade 17, said by the Principle PGMI. Due to the promotion of these nurses and appointment of the nurses into other cities, many seats are falling vacant in the PGMI. To fill these vacant positions PMGI will adjust sixteen new head nurses as well.
The announcement against these seats will be made at the start of next month.
