In the recent list of TIMES Higher Education 150 Under 50 Rankings 2016 one Pakistani university has successfully made a place at number 101 position. It is only National University of Science and Technology from Pakistan that has been ranked by the TIMES Higher Education in the Top 150 Under 50 Rankings 2016.
NUST did well in all selection methodologies of TIMES Higher Education mainly international teaching system, research, citations, international outlook, and industry income.

In the list of HEC Ranking of Pakistani Universities in 2015-16 in the category of Overall Top HEIs of Country, NUST secured the third position with 80.27 relative scores. It was ranked at the first position in the list of HEC Ranking of Pakistani Universities in 2015-16 for Engineering Category. The overall relative score of NUST in the engineering category is 100.
