The increasing trend in the world of IT resulted in the innovation on one side and made the life of the millions easier at another side. The conventional job system is decreasing gradually. At present, Asian countries are doing well in freelancing. Pakistanis are also enjoying this blessing. In the year 2015, there was 328% growth in the quantity of freelancer that is second highest ratio after the Philippines who achieved growth in the year 2015 almost 789%.
Most of the Pakistani freelancers are university graduates and especially from the IT field. There are also many who are from the medical and engineering field. The reasons behind the increasing number of Pakistani freelancer is that unemployment rate in the country is very alarming. The jobs that are being offered by the public offices most of the time get banned after the collection of heavy dues, or you must have a strong reference that is the common perception of the most of the Pakistanis.
According to the recent survey about the number of freelancers in the world, the percentage of Pakistani freelancers surged from 33.3% to 39.9% between 2009 to 2012. This percentage rises to 328% in the year 2015. Most of the Pakistani freelancers are attached with Freelance.com. However, there are also a large number of freelancers who are working independently instead of getting the work via freelancing channels. There are dedicated pages and groups on Facebook where the freelancing jobs on various topics can be searched out. IT, graphic designing and article writing are the top three categories.
Now in addition to foreign freelancer, Pakistani companies are also hiring the Pakistani freelancer but instead of giving the direct jobs these are operating on contract system.
