As the terrorism threat are increasing by every passing day, the security personnel of a country are always high alert to futile all such threats to the sovereignty of the country and are always overwhelmed to spread prosperity.
The military and the police services are said to be the most leading department against the terrorism but many of us doesn’t know about the role of special forces, which are the top military units trained to perform the unconventional missions. They are also the one accredited of launching undercover operations and other top secret missions.
The Special Forces are selected by an effective selection procedure, and the one aiming to be part of this force has to get the tiresome training. And essentially they need to have physical endurance and should have top mental abilities.

SAS
The Special Air Service (SAS) is the special force unit of the Britain Army, which was founded by the Colonel David Sterling during World War 2. Initially it was formed as a British Army Unit and further with advancement it was later reconstituted as corps in 1950. The SAS (Special Air Service) Regiment is a corps of the British Army and a part of the United Kingdom Special Forces (UKSF) commanded by the Director Special Forces. The SAS Regiment actually refers to three regiments known as the 21st SAS Regiment, 22nd SAS Regiment and 23rd SAS Regiment. The 22nd SAS Regiment is a part of the Regular Army, while the 22nd and 23 regiments are a part of the reserve Territorial Army.
US Navy SEALs
The US Navy’s principal special operations force is commonly called Navy SEALs, comprises of the well trained officials who carry out the Sea, Air and Land operations. Many of the people mistakenly think that this force is just restricted to set of operations at sea, but that’s absolutely wrong as SEAL’s have also participated in many land special operations, including the assassination of Osama Bin Laden. The U.S. Navy SEALs were established by President John F. Kennedy in 1962 as a small, elite maritime military force to conduct Unconventional Warfare. They carry out the types of clandestine, small-unit, high-impact missions that large forces with high-profile platforms (such as ships, tanks, jets and submarines) cannot. SEALs also conduct essential on-the-ground Special Reconnaissance of critical targets for imminent strikes by larger conventional forces.
Shayetet13- Israel
This Israeli special force has been existing since Israel have rose on the map. Undoubtedly, it has improved remarkably from the day of their inception till today and have built stronghold in the region and are often compared to the US SEALs Navy, but here it should be mentioned that they hold joint training sessions with SEALs which are organized by the US. Shayetet is the unit of the Israeli Navy and has remained quite active in all of the wars against terror kicked off by the Israel. In recent operations in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria and Liberia they once again proved their efficacy.
SSG Pakistan
Special Services Group is the elite special force of Pakistan held under Pakistan Army. They are also called the ‘Black Storks’ because of the unique headgear they worn. Beside, the latest technology and equipment they are most famous for the courage their soldiers posses. The physical endurance and tough training sessions are also one of the main reason behind their perfection. In last years they have shown off their skill in various joint patrols with forces of other countries and have proudly produced their strength in the battlefield. Their courage can be further exemplified as once Russian President said that if he had Pakistan’s army and Russian weapons he could conquer all the world because they are very brave.
GIGN-France
The National Gendarmerie Intervention Group is special operations unit of French armed Force. It was formed back in 1973 after the Munich Massacre in the 1971 Olympic Games. In 2007 this special organization was reorganized to induce more efficient results. They are most known for holding the protection missions and hostages rescue as till the date they have participated in over 1000 of such kind of operations in which over 500 hostages were rescued. In recent they were quite active against the Daesh in Paris Attacks and rescued hundreds of people.
