Valentine’s Day that is also called as the Day of Romance is the annual celebration that is observed on the 14th of February. It is the day that is now being celebrated in many countries across the globe, however, with now public holiday recognition in most of the countries. However, this event is banned in various part of the world as well among which most of the Arabian countries and Asian countries are well known.
In Pakistan, there is 50, 50 situation. Despite the fact open celebration of this day is banned in the country, there is still no ban on the sale of candies, flowers, candies and other type of gifts that especially represents this day. First time in Pakistan the concept of this day was introduced in 1990s when some special radio and TV programs were held at national level. This was widely protested by the Jamaat-e-Islami and since then it is ban in the country. But despite all these facts, Valentine Day in Pakistan is most popular among urban youth a massive amount of business transactions occurred on this single day.
