The waves of fears are all around revolving on heads of women’s in Karachi despite the claims that Karachi Knife Attacker, aka Chakoo Maar of Karachi, was arrested by the police around a week ago. The latest stabbing incident has taken place in Malir’s Darakhshan Society.
According to the victim, two boys ran away on the bike after gashing her hand with some kind of sharp edge-instrument on late Thursday night. Following these incidents, women are forced to stay in their houses and still the police have failed to do enough in this regard.
It will be pertinent to mention here that Gulistan e Johar was more prone to such incidents. So far around 20 of such cases has been registered when the unknown man on the bike have stabbed the woman and got the safe passage to run out from the scene.
Police in press conferences has told that they are making every possible effort to catch the prime suspect of Karachi Knife Attacking incidents.
In the recent turn of events, police authorities have blamed dysfunctional cameras as the major setback for them in this case. So for this purpose finally they are deciding to install 10,000 CCTV camera across Karachi.
10,000 CCTV Cameras to be installed to Catch Karachi Knife Attacker
During The Senate’s Functional Committee on Human Rights, DIG East Sultan Khawaja, briefing the Senate committee on recent Karachi Knife Attacks told that provincial government will be installing 10,000 CCTV cameras all across Karachi to catch Karachi Knife Attacker and other criminals. He further told that for CCTV instalment purpose, experts services have been taken from the Dubai and London-based consultants.
DIG East also told that those cameras installed in Gulistan-e-Jauhar are of very poor quality as no one can even trace the number plates.
Karachi Knife Attacker Prime Suspect Mohammad Wasim
The Police Chief during the meeting also told that no proof of Mohammad Wasim’s involvement in Karachi Knife Attacking case has been found. “Police have also got the phone call record of Mohammad Wasim who has used around 16 different SIMs for communication,” said DIG Khawaja, adding, “All SIMs are issued on his relatives’ names and he has never called in Karachi, nor has he ever visited the city during the time of 13 knife attacks.”
