Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Government has announced winter holidays 2017 for both government and private schools in the province. According to notification at this moment issued by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the private and government educational institutes in the province will remain closed from December 22, 2017, to December 31, 2017. The classes will then resume on January 01, 2018.
The holidays for hilly and snowy areas have also been announced. In these areas, the schedule for Winter Holidays is December 23, 2018, to Feb 28, 2018.
Currently, the winter season across the country is going on with the same temperature, however, in northern areas, it is going in a negative figure. According to Radio Pakistan and news update by the KPK Govt Official Website, the notification for winter school holidays, all the educational institutes either secondary schools, higher secondary schools or universities, all will remain closed for the said period.
