Pakistan on the other side has declared Kashmir its jugular vein. Pakistan’s claims to the disputed areas of Kashmir are also based on the rejection of Indian claims to Kashmir namely the Instrument of Accession.
Human rights organizations, social activist and even the United Nations have strongly condemned Indian troops for widespread murder and rape of innocent civilians.
