Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has launched a mega-project and this time it is the plan of establishing Digital City in Pakistan. It is first of its kind project and it will be located behind Margala Hills Islamabad in Haripur. The site is already known for its scenic and beautiful natural sceneries. The place happens to be near Islamabad which grants it easy access to new International Airport of the capital city.
It has been planned by the Kpk government that competitive and developed land will be leased to business and technology firms while KPITB is in the process of collection of feedback and requirements of all potential investors to provide industry-specific requirements for the development of Digital City.

It is pertinent to mention that KPK education minister has announced that first-ever tech University of KPK is planned to be built in Haripur. It seems that government of KPK aims to promote digital entrepreneurship in the province and a megaproject such as Digital City is the proof. If this project launched successfully, it is going to change the landscape of KPK forever. The province’s digital economy currently is rather scattered and this will be a huge opportunity to bring it together to a large central place which is facilitated by the government itself.
