Well, you ever wonder why Paypal is not coming to Pakistan or why still it has not been introduced in Pakistan. First of all, we should know that what is the benefit of Paypal, if you have Paypal account you pay for your online shopping with this account with full proof security, you can receive payments from all freelancers, you can receive money from Google add sense etc.
So there are lots of benefits if you have an account of PayPal but unfortunately, Paypal doesn’t operate in Pakistan. The reason behind for not operating in Pakistan is that it initially cost 40 Million Dollars to Paypal for installing the setup and as per their calculations Pakistan won’t be a profitable country to invest that much. They have already launched in India and as per their reports, they are still bearing the loss in India. So the authorities of Paypal are reluctant to invest in Pakistan due to their bad experience in India. On the other hand, it’s very confusing to know that how the countries like Madagascar and Ghana are giving profits to Paypal and huge countries like India and Pakistan are not or will not come up to their expectations.
They need paper proof or some solid evidence to invest in Pakistan. Well for the time being Pakistani E-commerce is having troubles in operating due to non-availability of PayPal and are using alternate sources which are a bit expensive and time taking.
A few days back the new finance minister of Pakistan has announced that Paypal or its alternate will be coming to Pakistan within few months. Let’s wait and see when is this going to happen.
