Musical fantasy films are quite popular nowadays and one such film that has been quite popular is Aladin, an adaptation of the 1992 animated movie with the same name. The film has been making waves in the industry and was one of the most anticipated movies of the year 2019 ever since its trailer and teasers were being released. The movie is directed by Guy Ritchie and produced by Walt Disney. The film stars Mena Massoud, Will Smith, Marwan Kenzari, Naomi Scott, Nasim Pedrad, Navid Neghaban, and others in the lead role. Music of the movie is by Alan Menken and screenplay by John August.
The movie is about Aladin who is living in the city of Agrabah along with his pet monkey Abu. In the movie, he rescues Princess Jasmine along with the help of his friends and Abu. Jasmine is a princess and Jafar plans to dethrone Jasmine’s father as the Sultan of the state. Jafar is seeking a lamp that will fulfill his wishes and Aladin is then captured so that he could bring the lamp to him. Aladin does what he has been asked to do and he gets the lamp for Jafar but he then put inside the cave but Abu steals the lamp for Aladin.
Aladin then uses the lamp to get his three wishes fulfilled which also included becoming the prince in order to impress Jasmine and also says that he will free the genie as his another wish. The story continues where Jafar is arrested later on and Aladin is reunited with Jasmine and the two get married to start their new life. Genie also ends up marrying Dalia, the handmaiden of Jasmine. The film has been a blockbuster and has garnered praises from everyone including the critics making it a must-watch for all Disney fans.
