Tourism is increasing in the northern parts of Pakistan to such an extent that the government has now taken up seriously on tourism. Not only local tourists are heading to the north of Pakistan to spend their vacations, but people from other parts of the world are now also heading to Pakistan in order to see the natural beauty of the country. In order to promote tourism further, the KP government has launched a mobile application for tourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa. The new app is named as KPTourism and it can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and the iOS store.
The mobile application contains all the details of tourism related to Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa including blogs, tour packages, travel planning, navigational assistance, and other insights related to traveling in KP. The main aim of the Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa government is to provide multiple tourism opportunities in the province so that the tourism sector blossoms and creates employment opportunities as well. Minister of Tourism Atif Khan said that if they are able to work hard towards tourism in the province that they can increase the number of tourists to 10 million in the next 10 years, which will give a significant boost to the economy as well.
The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa has been trying hard to improve the tourism sector in the province so that a new source of revenue can be generated as more and more people visit the northern areas. The government has already allocated more than Rs. 5 billion for the promotion of tourism in the Khyber Pakhtunkhuwa. Prime Minister Imran Khan is also looking to promote tourism in the country with the Civil Aviation Authority working on the development of airports at different cities like Parachinar, Chitral, and Swat in order to make travel easy.
