Super People Vs. PUBG, Is It A Worthy Competitor To PUBG?

By Sanam Nayab — Updated on 09/05/2023
While Super People is considered a worthy competitor to PUBG, it remains to be seen whether it can surpass PUBG's popularity and long-term success in the battle royale genre.

The PC and console versions of PUBG will be made available for free to gamers (free to play) on January 12, 2022, according to a recent announcement by Krafton. There’s no denying that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is the undisputed king of the battle royale genre of video games.

The business Krafton, which created PUBG, is a frontrunner in the video game industry. Recently, Krafton acquired stock from the renowned 5minlab video game development studio. In light of this, Krafton has announced the free distribution of PUBG so that its players can enjoy the game on various platforms. The decision, however, has been criticized by sure gamers, most notably those in the Super People vs. PUBG subreddit.

That PUBG PC will soon be available for free, without the need to pay as it has in the past, has pleased many people. Still, some skeptics wonder if it’s realistic that a game that’s five years old is still popular today.

The first version of PUBG for PC came out on March 23, 2017, and at that time, it was already regarded as out of date. When comparing PUBG PC to other battle royale games for PC and to the just launched 2021 title, Super People, several factors come into play, including gameplay, mechanics, and aesthetics.

Talk about “Super People vs. PUBG” is common among free-to-play (F2P) gamers of battle royale games. PC Battle Royale gamers tend to like the Super People character.

Games created by Wonder People Co., Ltd. and made available to the public on August 11, 2021, are well-known for their cutting-edge design and dynamic (fast-paced) gameplay, both of which help ensure that players don’t become bored quickly.

In what ways does PUBG PC differ from Super People to generate so much discussion? Which of the two free Super People vs. PUBG PC battle royale games would you rather play? This post will compare and contrast the two games to help you choose which Super People vs. PUBG to play.

Super People and PUBG: Resemblances and Distinctions

Battle royale games Super People vs. PUBG PC. The benefits and drawbacks of each option have parallels and distinctions. Comparing Super People to PC’s popular battle royale game, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, we found the following parallels and differences.

Resemblance Between Super Heroes And PUBG

The many ways in which the two games are alike. There is a superficial similarity between Super People and PC’s PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, with few significant differences. The core premise of both Super People vs. PUBG games is quite similar.

The second category of video games is the battle royale style, in which the players compete to be the last group or individual standing.

Aside from that, several of the same weapons may be found in Super People and PUBG. You may use the same guns and pistols (gun) you would find in PUBG on both PUBG Mobile and PUBG PC in the Super People games.

Scar-L is an assault weapon used in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Super People. As a result, players won’t have to spend as much time playing either game to become proficient with the weaponry already available to them.

Distinct Features of “Super People” and “PUBG”

The gamers are aware that both Super People and PUBG are battle royale games, but they also realize that there are significant distinctions between the two.

The primary distinction between Super People and PUBG PC is the crafting option. Experienced players who have been playing PUBG for a while have a firm grasp of how the game functions. To participate in combat on PUBG Mobile or PUBG PC, you must first locate spawning loot, which consists of weapons and supplies that have been dispersed over the area.

Super People operate on a different level, and their methods reflect that. You may employ loot, or the things and ingredients you find throughout the game, to craft in-game goods, and the quality of those items can be raised as a result. A level two helmet, for instance, can be upgraded to a level three. This also works for high-level equipment that requires regular usage, such as guns.

In contrast to PUBG, where identical (level 3) helmets can be found lying around or obtained from Super Water Drops, this situation is infrequent. In this case, the fundamental differentiator between the extremely dominating Super People and PUBG will be the ability to create mechanisms.

The second significant distinction between Super People and PUBG is the persona you’ll assume in-game. In PUBG PC, you play like a regular person, gaining skills and power-ups as you gather weapons and supplies.

Different from PUBG, Super People has brought a fresh concept. Each character in Super People is a soldier or a superhuman with unique talents; these capabilities and skills vary from person to person and from mission to mission.

It’s somewhat similar to the battle royale mode in Call of Duty games, where characters may be Ninjas, Protectors, Doctors, and so on, each with unique skills and abilities. The characters of Super People are also endowed with extraordinary skills and capabilities, allowing them to thrive without resorting to violence.

If your character has maxed up their strength, you will have access to this ability. When your character has amassed enough power, they will be able to unleash their ultimate ability, giving them a significant advantage in battle.

The third key distinction between Super People and PUBG is the level of intensity during gaming, which is a disadvantage for PUBG. Although playing Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) is an unforgettable and once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the game’s long (and tedious) length and plodding pace may put off some gamers.

In a head-to-head matchup between Super People and PUBG PC, the former unquestionably comes out on top because of its quick speed (fast-paced) throughout each round, keeping players on the edge of their seats and leaving them with little time to catch their breath. Players’ Roles

Anyone who has played PUBG for a long time knows that you don’t play the role of a chosen one or even an elite operator. Instead, the game emphasizes your role as an anonymous soldier tasked with achieving victory by eliminating all opponents.

To put it another way, how your character looks has nothing to do with how well they perform. It’s not you doing the playing; instead, you’re inserting yourself into the role of an avatar within the game environment.

With this concept in mind, PUBG drops players into the world without supposing they will compete as a particular class or character but rather as individuals who must rely on their abilities, knowledge, and strategies to survive.

However, the role you play in SUPER PEOPLE is significant, and you are not only functioning as a self-insert character with no name. SUPER PEOPLE is unquestionably a class-based shooter because players may select distinct character classes before each round.

Not having separate abilities and behaviors for each class would make this seem very similar to PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) in how it’s played. As of the time, this article was written, there are thirteen distinct courses available in SUPER PEOPLE.

SUPER PEOPLE casts you in the role of a super soldier. Your superiors have assigned you a unique mission as an elite operative, so be assured that there is a method to the madness. This is one of the most striking distinctions between the two games, and it suggests exciting new avenues for development in the Battle Royale genre.

Creating a Methodology for Crafting

When comparing SUPER PEOPLE to other available Battle Royale games, like PUBG, there is a clear distinction in how its crafting feature is implemented. Fusing materials has been a long-requested feature by PUBG’s seasoned players.

Although this feature is essential to the new Battle Royale Super People, it has not yet been introduced in PUBG. In PUBG, players have always had to search for their gear after they spawned into the game’s actual environment.

During this searching phase, you should search for and acquire your first real weapon and any additional supplies, such as a first aid kit, that you may need in the heat of combat. None of these goods may be produced; they must be discovered in the open world and utilized at random.

However, SUPER PEOPLE have made a radical change to this tactic. You may now use the resources and things you find in the open world to improve the stats of other items in your inventory.

Assume you’re just starting in SUPER PEOPLE, and you manage to get your hands on a Level 2 helmet. Using a combination of the helmet and various materials, you may create a level 3 helmet. In terms of defense and overall statistics, this is a huge plus.

This mechanism adds a new element of flexibility and strategy to making use of the resources at your disposal, and it stands in stark contrast to what we’ve seen in games like PUBG.

Formalization and Visualization

Both games have impressive visuals and a unique style, but we think they approach the presentation of their virtual worlds from different perspectives. The landscape and characters in PUBG feel more gloomy and realistic, whereas SUPER PEOPLE makes some token steps in the other direction.

The visuals in PUBG lack a glossy shine and appear to have been designed to replicate the grime and difficulty of actual battlefields. Though adding skins adds a lot of fun, the game is taken seriously.

On the other hand, SUPER PEOPLE presents its game environment and people more nuancedly. The game’s visuals are realistic, but the character models stand out because of their unique styles and personality.

Several of its own tonal and artistic flare that is distinctive and eye-catching help to keep it from seeming like a carbon copy of PUBG.

Rate of Combat

The tempo of the battles is a significant differentiator between the two games. The sluggish, gritty fighting style of PUBG, which encourages you to be as minimalistic as possible, has begun to tire many players.

The game rewarded patiently waiting for an opponent to reveal their location before engaging in a gunfight or staying hidden until it was your turn to fire. However, this led to players feeling bored, and many individuals claimed that campers won matches without accomplishing anything.

To counter this complaint, SUPER PEOPLE forces you to be more proactive or risk losing the game. The critical factor that improves this playstyle is the player’s access to active abilities, which significantly expands the player’s range of possible actions in combat.

Combat is already tense, but the abilities up the stakes even further. Instead of being simple, point-and-shoot affairs, gunfights today include a complex web of strategies and tactics that ultimately decides who comes out on top in any given one-on-one encounter.

Abilities at the Pinnacle

We’ve already established that the Ultimate Abilities that each character in SUPER PEOPLE possesses set them apart from the playable characters in PUBG, but this is only one of the several ways in which the two games’ protagonists diverge.

In SUPER PEOPLE, the Ultimate Abilities system lets your character do something completely unprecedented, which may or may not result in a significant bonus. The benefit might take the form of a unique ability or a boost to your existing statistics.

The Seeker class has an ultimate ability called Quick Slide, and it’s only one example of the game’s many Ultimate Abilities. With this power, you can glide three times, each lasting eight seconds. This method is a fantastic tool for increasing mobility and can be decisive in tight shootouts.

So, Ultimate Abilities is an elegant feature that alters how you see playing a Battle Royal.

Method of Resurrection

The unique Resurrection mechanism is another entertaining addition by SUPER PEOPLE. Many players have requested a similar feature in PUBG, but the developers have been reluctant to include it out of concern for the game’s balance.

While games like Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone include similar Battle Royale modes, none of them do a better job of implementing such mode than SUPER PEOPLE does.

You won’t have to sit and watch a match for hours to be loaded into the next one. Because of this function, you may resume where you left off. There is no lull in the action, so you can fully immerse yourself in the game. You have the sensation that a medic has just patched you up and sent you back into battle.

Even though consumables have existed in PUBG for a long time, game mechanics are always subject to change. The developers of SUPER PEOPLE took a similar tack with this element in their game, adding tools that had concrete effects on the action.

PUBG consumables include bandages, painkillers, energy drinks, and other medical supplies. They affect the game by allowing you to temporarily heal up before your next battle.

But this feature has been overused and adds very little to the gameplay itself. Because of this, SUPER PEOPLE include many brand-new, ground-breaking weapons and tools that may drastically alter the outcome of a battle.

They include products like Energy Bars and Special pills that may significantly boost your stats, but you can also farm enough to ensure you always have a healthy supply.

These goods are essential for your Super Soldier since they increase the power of their perks and give varied boosts to movement speed, damage dealt, and health. Looting and acquiring such stuff from deceased players makes for a much more frantic encounter as you strive for more kills and more treasure.

High-Quality Sound

We have to point out that while both games have fantastic sound design and great music, SUPER PEOPLE is presently missing several key audio aspects—something you won’t see very often in games like PUBG or other modern Battle Royale titles.

Remember that specific audio options may or may not make it into the final version of SUPER PEOPLE, as the game is still in early access. On the other hand, the current state of the game is missing crucial elements like movement audio and other sound effects that are standard in PUBG.

This becomes quite annoying when listening to walking or running animations in SUPER PEOPLE. Hearing it in-game is challenging, and in most Battle Royales, that might be the difference between life and death. And in a game as frantic as SUPER PEOPLE, it’s frustrating.

Player Count Per Match

The final number of participants in these matches is another subtle distinction between the two sports. Fighting against a hundred other players is a thrilling feature of Battle Royale games.

As for Battle Royale games expressly, an everyday participant count of 100 has been widely accepted. SUPER PEOPLE, on the other hand, feature 64-person bouts. A prominent figure a few years ago that falls short of current standards.
