According to a report printed in Dawn Newspaper, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan and famous Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif have been invited to annual Literary and Cultural Conference that is going to be held in Lahore.
Lahore Arts Council is hosting this cultural event and the two famous celebrities along with many other foreign dignitaries are invited to attend the cultural event that is going to be held in Lahore.
Organizers are very hopeful about the acceptance of this invitation by Katrina Kaif and Amitabh Bachchan.
Program Deputy Director Mr. Zulfiqar Ali Zulfi said that
We have sent invitations to 12 personalities from India, mostly writers including two prominent faces from Bollywood – Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif. Hopefully they will attend the conference
Other prominent names that got invitation include Gulzar, Javed Akhtar, Shabana Azmi and Shamim Hanfi.
Theme of this year’s conference is around nostalgia. Title of the conference for this year is ‘Beetay Huway Din Yaad Atay Hain’.
The conference will take place at Alhamra Art Centre, The Mall from 24th of May to 26th of May 2014 and many famous and renowned people are invited to attend and speak at the conference.
Although many think that it will improve the bilateral relations of both countries but some others think that it is highly unlikely that Amitabh Bachchan and Katrina Kaif will attend this conference. But one thing is sure that if they do, it will be very useful step as far as melting the ice between both countries is concerned.
