HUM network once again successfully held the biggest awards show in Pakistan ‘Servis 2ndHum Awards’. The award show took place at Expo Centre Karachi.
Red carpet was looking majestic with the presence of superstars and top models of Pakistan. The stage was decorated with big LED screen placed in the center and the stage was massive and beautiful. It mesmerized the audience in the hall.
Music Awards
Meekal Zulfiqar and Sanam Saeed started things off by hosting the first segment i.e. Music Awards. Best band nominees for the year 2013 were Jal, Overload, Sketches and Symt. The winner of the award was Overload band. Musician and producer Immu along with Gia Ali handed over the award to Farhad Humayun.
Best Music Video award was given to Sketches by Pakistani pop icon Fakhir and Amna Ilyas. Best Solo Artist award 2013 was won by Sajjad Ali and award was presented by legendary singer Alamgir and Ayesha Omer.
Best OST of the year 2013 was given to ‘Dil-e-muztar ko samjhaya bohat hai’. Audience was given a surprise entry by Javed Sheikh and Bushra Ansari who performed on a medley of Gari Ko Chalana. After the performance ‘Lifetime Achievement Award’ was presented to Zia Mohiuddin by President of HUM Network Sultana Siddiqui for his valuable contribution to entertainment industry in Pakistan.
Fashion Awards
Best Women’s Wear Award 2013 was given to Hassan Sheheryar Yasin (HSY) while Best Designer Wear award was given to Ismail Fareed. Best Female Model Award for the year 2013 went to Amna Ilyas while Jehan e Khalid won Best Male Model Award for the year 2013.
Again at the end of this segment, surprise performance by Mehwish Hayat and Ahsan Khan was witnessed by the audience. Mehwish Hayat and Ahsan Khan performed on remixed medley of ‘Tu ney mari entry yaar’.
Television Awards
Meekal Zulfiqar and Sanam Jung hosted this segment of the award show. Best Sitcom of the year 2013 award was won by ‘Extras’. Best New Sensation Award Male was won by Ali Rehman while Best New Sensation Award Female was won by Sanam Jung.
Areej Fatima won the award for Best Female Actress in Soap for her performance in ‘Ek pagal si larki’ while Best Male Actor for Soap was given to Humayun Ashraf. Best Soap Award 2013 was given to ‘Ek pagal si larki’.
Director Asim Raza collected the award for Best Telefilm on behalf of the whole team of telefilm ‘Behad’.
Best supporting actor male award was taken away by Salman Shahid while best actor in supporting role female award was given to Sameena Peerzada for her role in ‘Zindagi gulzar hai’.
Noman Ejaz earned best actor in negative role award for his acting in ‘Ullo baraye farokht nahi’. Most impactful character in a serial award was earned by Sakina Saammo for her brilliant performance in Aseerzadi.
Special Recognition Award was given to Bushra Ansari and Samina Peerzada was invited to give the award to her for her efforts to introduce new trends and standards to entertainment industry of Pakistan.
