A shocking news for Pakistan cricket today, as the middle order experienced batsman, Shoiab Malik has announced retirement from the Test Cricket, however he’ll be playing other formats of cricket, T20 and ODI’s.
Shoaib in a press conference also told about his priority of playing ICC Cricket WorldCup 2019.
The all-rounder, who was dropped from the side earlier after the 2010 test series against England, made his way back in the side after around 5 years of pause. His return in the team was a big blow and was publicly acclaimed as he scored double century in the very first innings he played against England in the ongoing series.
Pakistan vs England 3rd Test is going-on and today after 3rd day of the match was stumped, Shoaib Malik arrived to talk in the press conference as he took 4 wickets in the match and played a big part in making Pakistan’s comeback in Sharjah Test.
Astonishingly, he told that he has decided to retire from and Test Cricket and his ongoing Test will be the last of the Test career. 33-years-old Malik decided to left the side for the youngsters as he think that they have the potential and deserve the place in the side.
The ongoing Sharjah Test is the 35th Test of Malik’s career, so far he has scored 1860 runs in 34 Tests with marking an average of 35.76 and has taken 25 wickets in the career.
