ex-Pakistani cricketer, Arshad Khan was most recently seen driving Uber Taxi in Sydney, by an Indian going to Australia.
In a Facebook post shared last night by Ganesh Birle, it was said that ex- Pakistani off-spinner, Arshad Khan is currently a taxi driver in Sydney, Australia.
Based on Birle’s post, Arshad Khan informed him he was from Pakistan and had been to Hyderabad many times while he was actively playing for Lahore Badshahs. On further more inquiry, Ganesh Birle realized who his taxi driver actually was- an ex main cricketer for the Pakistani team.
Arshad Khan debuted back in ’97 against West Indies as a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler. He’d a regular run with the home team till the year ’01 before he made a come back in 2005 to give his career’s very best performance against India, where he obtained 4 for 33 in the 1st ODI.
“He was avoiding the talk all the time, but at the same time he couldn’t assist but talk about his India link. Just imagine he introduced himself as I from Pakistan but I have been here in Sydney for very long time now”, Ganesh Birle more revealed in his post.
One of his most memorable cricket moment happened in 2006 in Peshawar when he took the wicket of famous Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar.
Arshad Khan’s unlucky turn of career is comparable to that of New Zealand player, Ewen Chatfield, who drives a cab in Wellington.
