ISLAMABAD: The private school regulating authority, Private Educational Institutions Regulator Authority (PEIRA) has designed a ‘Grievance Cell’ on the directives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. You can lodge your complaint against the fee hike by the Private Schools.
PIERA, which is the only recognized body, has start-up its grievance cell and it is likely that PIERA will be cracking down on the private schools not following their instructions. PEIRA instructed Private Schools not to make any increase in fees or apply any other chargers during the current going year.
The private regulatory authority has also strictly directed Private Schools to reimburse the school’s fee, if they have taken it after the rise in annual fee.
PIERA stated: Prime Minister has taken strict notice of the schools that are not complying with the orders of reducing or reimbursing the raise in school’s fee. On the directions of the PM, PEIRA has constituted a Grievances Cell to address the complaints submitted by parents who are being harassed by the management of schools.
