Systems Limited – leading IT company in Pakistan – has successfully won the Punjab Government contract of worth Rs. 300 million to systemise the Land Records Management Information System (LRMIS) of the Government of Punjab.
It is the second same kind of project that it has already received from the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As per agreement granted by Project Management unit of Board of Revenue Punjab, the Systems Limited will provide a solution for at least 12,000 users spread in 150 Tehsils of 300 services centers in the province.

The Project Management Unit of Punjab Board of Revenue has started computerization of Land Records with overall objectives to improve service delivery and to enhance the perceived level of tenure security. For this purpose, Project Management nit has been established under the supervision of Punjab Board of Revenue.

The purposes of computerized land systems are:
1- Increased access to land records at lower transaction cost for the beneficiary via a client-responsive service.
2- Increased level of tenure security of land-right holders.
Project tenure is of five years and will set four main functions:
1- Setting the foundations with the objective of generating and strengthening the capacity of the responsible entities to effectively manage and administer the modernized land records system.
2- Developing and deploying an automated land records system (LRMIS) and performing all other pre-service delivery tasks.
3- Provision of services to the population – with the objective of managing, operating, making accessible land-related information – and incorporating feedback from stakeholders in further elaboration of the system
4- Monitoring the quality and efficiency of the services provided.
