The history of internet in Pakistan started when Imran-Net introduced the first email service in the country in 1992-93. A special project named Sustainable Development Networking Programme (SDNPK) by the UNDP was launched in Islamabad to provide dial-up and UUCP based email service to citizens of Pakistan and supports the project related to educational, NGOs communication, sustainable development and many others.
We are aware about the fact that Pakistanis are paying higher price for the internet. But do you know where Pakistan stands in term of internet price in world, Asia, central Asia, eastern Asia, southern Asia, south-eastern Asia or western Asia.
At present Pakistan is at number 76 position providing internet at the rate of $25.82 per month (10 Mbps, unlimited data, cable/ADSL). With the same price, Pakistan is at number 25 in Asia.
However, if talk about latest internet technologies inclduing 3G and 4G LTE then these are being provided in Pakistan.
