Just two day before, Federal Ministry for Interior Affairs has withdrawn the decision of allocating holiday on Iqbal Day. This year there will be no public holiday on Iqbal Day, November 9. Just after the cancellation of holiday by federal government, Government of Punjab has also announced that there will be no holiday on Iqbal Day on November 9 in the Punjab province.
All the government offices and educational institutes will remain open on the November 9. However, most of the private school announced the holiday on November 9 in remembrance of the Poet of the Nation. However the situation is still vague at both federal and provincial level as the Ministry of Interior Affairs firs announced the public holiday on the Iqbal Day and soon after the first notification second notification came showing cancellation of holiday. The public is confused over the matter and still waiting for the final notification.

It’s not about 1 holiday we get on #IqbalDay It’s about giving respect to the sacrifices of Alama Iqbal. #BringBackIqbalDay — ع ا د ل (@rudeicious) November 6, 2015
Ideology is still alive in Pakistan. But everyone have own perspective toward issues
Cancellation of #IqbalDay holiday would help seculars to disassociate Iqbal’s ideology from Pak. #BringBackIqbalDay
