There a few women in the Pakistani fashion industry that have not only made great brands or made a name for themselves, but they have also helped the industry to grow as a whole. One such name is Khadija Shah of Elan, who has come a long way in the industry. The designer was previously associated with Sapphire where she played a crucial role to take the brand to new heights. After parting ways with Sapphire, Khadija Shah started Elan and has since then made the brand grow exponentially. But it looks as Khadija won’t be stopping here anytime soon.
The designer has now come up with yet another brand called Zaha, a ready-to-wear brand, something that was not available in the Elan brand. Khadija has opened up a new brand with its flagship store in Lahore where the store takes up three floors at the Gulberg Galleria. There are different sections at the store from festive pret to RTW all in reasonable prices. Talking about the new brand, Khadija said that these are the clothes that one wears on a daily basis and hence designing it for the consumers was important. She said that she thought she would design RTW even after parting ways with Sapphire.
There will tores of Zaha all over Pakistan including Karachi as Khadija Shah looks to expand and grow her latest brand. Zaha is different from what Elan has to offer as the latter one deals in bridal designs only. Zaha, on the other hand, has a splash of color and a one-stop-shop for the working ladies who can get their ready-to-wear clothes from Zaha. Khadija said that she started this new brands for the modern women of Pakistan who are confident, spirited, and want to make a fashion statement.
