Abrar Ul Haq is one of the most influential public figures in Pakistan. He is a successful singer, a successful politician, a loved humanitarian, a successful teacher and now the new chairman of the Red Crescent Society of Pakistan (PRCS). He has worked tirelessly for the past many years to make Pakistan a better place. He has done a lot for Pakistan and one of the things he did was establishing the ‘SAHARA’. SAHARA stands for “Services Aimed at Health and Awakening in Remote Areas” this program of SAHARA was established to ensure that the remote areas of Pakistan do not get neglected. The SAHARA program, since 1998 is making sure that there were health and education in the less developed areas of Pakistan. This trust is recognized and registered as one of the leading charities of Pakistan in many countries like the United Kingdom and the United States of America. Abrar Ul Haq also developed a nonprofit hospital in Narowal with the name of ‘Sugra Shafi Medical Complex.
Pakistan Red Crescent Society:
After all these successful ventures; now in 2019 he has become the new chairman of the Red Crescent Society of Pakistan and was appointed by the president of the country himself; Dr. Arif Alvi. Pakistan Red Crescent Society is the association that provides the services during an emergency period. The service is, particularly for medical emergencies. This organization was founded just after the independence of Pakistan after 1947 by the nurse Saloni Malik. This association also provides first aid training, opportunities for volunteer ship and various other programs for the general public.
Apart from all this; Abrar Ul Haq also holds free medical camps for routine checkups, he also helped the Muslims of Burma and established a relief for them and he has helped during the most difficult times of the country namely the earthquakes, tsunamis, and floods, etc. not only has he help his own country during the difficult times but he has also extended the helpful hand towards many other countries. He also received many national and international awards for his brilliant services to his country, awards like ‘Sitara-e-Imtiaz’, ‘Tamgha-e-Imtiaz’, ‘Sitara-e-Eisaar’ and ‘OIC award’.
