Petrol Becomes Cheaper than CNG in Pakistan

After Prime Minister of Pakistan has announced the reduction in prices of petroleum products by 7.99 Rupees, Petrol has become cheaper than CNG for the first time in 15 years. New price of petrol is 70.29 Rupees per liter while CNG is available in the market at a price of 71.50 Rupees per KG. The new prices of Petrol will be applicable from 1st of February 2015. Sales tax on petrol has been increased from 22 percent to 27 percent. Last month, the sales tax was increased from 17 percent to 22 percent. Gas to Industries and CNG Stations Suspended For 3 Months

Gas supply to CNG stations and Industries will be suspended from 1st November till 31st January. This was announced by Federal Minister of Petroleum and Natural Resources Shahi Khaqaan Abbasi. A shocking news for Industry, CNG station owner but actual victim of such decisions is the nation to be more precise a common man. CNG Banned on Above 1000 CC Vehciles

A positive step by the care taker government as they have banned CNG for vehicles above 1000 cc engines. Ministry of Petroleum sent summary to care taker prime minister of Pakistan and he took a brave decision against the transporters by signing it. The relevant organization have been informed and strict action will be taken against the offenders of the rule. in this regard big fines have been decided upon the violation of the rule.
